2008 CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Rich and Susan give 30-40 lectures, slide shows or grafting demonstrations per year to horticulture classes, professional organizations, plant societies, arborists, and garden clubs. Rich and Susan also promote the American Conifer Society and the resources that the membership provides.

The color blue adds accent to the garden, drawing your eye or creating a stunning background to showcase other plants and flowers.  Review a selection of blue-foliaged evergreens and then walk with Rich through the Arboretum’s Pinetum to see these plants in the landscape.

Chicagoland Flower and Garden Show
March 8-16

IL    More than 500 varieties of hosta available.  Sales benefit Heifer International. Volunteers are needed to divide and sell plants for these events.

American Conifer Society Meeting
June 26-28 National Meeting Dubuque, Iowa, in the heart of the Central Region. Let’s show support of the Conifer Society…the meeting is within striking distance. It is the best way to network and meet the most knowledgeable coniferites.  The auction is well worth it to purchase the rarest dwarf conifers in the world!  www.conifersociety.org
